These cookies are a freezer staple, perfectly moist and chewy, with crisp edges and a deep, complex flavor that will have you coming back for more!

1. Browned Butter: By melting and browning the butter, you'll create a chewier texture and add rich, caramel notes to the flavor.   

2. Brown Sugar: Using brown sugar—not only enhances the caramel flavor through its molasses content but also contributes to the chewy texture we love in cookies.

3. Chocolate Variety: A mix of different chocolates creates a complex chocolate experience. Use large bittersweet, regular semisweet, and mini milk chocolate chips to add delightful visual interest and texture.

Ingredients:

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 14 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and browned

- 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar (organic coconut sugar works well)

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 2 tsp high-quality vanilla extract

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 large egg + 1 large yolk

- 2 cups (or more) chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Begin by combining the dry ingredients (flour and baking soda) in one bowl and whisking together the wet ingredients (browned butter, sugars, vanilla, salt, egg, and yolk) in another.

2. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

3. Portion out the dough into 2-ounce balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 12-14 minutes, depending on the size of the dough balls, until the edges are golden brown.
